2021
Ploomes is a technology startup that helps small and medium businesses through a platform combining CRM and process automation while delivering automatic order requests.
As a SaaS product made for the B2B industry, the challenge was to create a website design that conveys trust, technology and performance while portraying the company as something new and interesting.
The website was a lead generation tool for their marketing team, so the development on webflow, with a design system and a custom language translation, was essential for this project because the startup was growing at a fast pace.
Designing the modern for the traditional
I started this project studying the brand guidelines, visual components and the company's future goals through meetings with the projects’ stakeholders. After understanding the brand strategy, I decided that the website should be personable, approachable, minimalist and trustworthy.
As our platform was developed for the B2B industry, it was important that Ploomes presented itself as something new and different while keeping a visual language that was still interesting for the more traditionalist clients.
Ready to grow
Ploomes knew that their website would be an essential lead generation tool, so a well organized design system was paramount for this project as the development and the creating process of new pages would be faster. That way the marketing team could validate and try new ideas faster.
In order to keep the project organized and have a strong basis for the next pages to be developed, a Style System containing typography, colors, buttons, classes, structures and components was created.
Giving the power to the marketers
One of the biggest reasons for developing the website in webflow was the capabilities of the CMS (content management system) solution. Using collections, items and a full management system, it was easy to update the website’s CMS.
This way the marketing team was able to create new pages and posts, add testimonials, update texts and images without the need of a developer or web designer.
